Battery Protection
We recommend installing a thermal-magnetic protection with an LA302DC lightning surge suppressor between the charge controller/battery charger and the battery, which protects the battery from a short circuit or an induction from a lightning discharge.
Between the battery and the connected equipment/inverter, we recommend another thermal breaker with another lightning surge suppressor. Click here to view thermal breakers.
SUPER HIGH PERFORMANCE BATTERIES
• Designed for high-reliability applications.
• Manufactured under the highest quality standards.
• Tested 24/7 without performance degradation.
AGM Technology Advantages
- Maintenance-free, sealed
- No acid spillage during transportation.
- No need to add water during their service life.
- More lead in their plates for longer lifespan.
- Greater resistance to vibration.
Update: LITHIUM Batteries Available
(10 Times longer lifespan than traditional batteries, resistant to high temperatures, and no issues with full discharge)
Let’s explore the differences between a professional battery and a traditional deep cycle battery. Reduce costs (use far fewer batteries, no maintenance) in our projects.
EPCOM POWER LINE Batteries
Used in solar energy projects worldwide. What makes them different from a traditional battery?
No Maintenance Required
- Traditional deep cycle batteries require constant water refills to maintain electrolyte levels.
- EPCOM batteries require no maintenance and are sealed.
This can be verified by simply reading the specification sheet of a traditional battery.
Higher Capacity (Real Capacity)
- Traditional deep cycle batteries use misleading marketing to specify their capacity (A 115Ah battery is actually 90Ah when used over 10 hours. 10 hours is the international standard for this measurement).
- EPCOM batteries deliver the specified capacity within 10 hours.
This can be verified by simply reading the specification sheet of a traditional battery.
Discharge and Lifespan
- A traditional deep cycle battery cannot be discharged more than 40-50%, which significantly reduces its lifespan.
- EPCOM batteries can be discharged up to 20-30% without affecting their lifespan, enabling autonomous systems with far fewer batteries.
